4-H is a club for children ages 8 through 18 for both male and female alike. Unlike other organizations for children,
4-H is a 'family affair'. Members meet altogether without separating children by age or sex. The entire group meets
together and children 'grow up' through the years. Younger members learn from the older and the older learn to mentor
the younger. All meetings are closely supervised by adult leaders who have been trained by the U of Md Extension Agents. Parents
may involve themselves as desired. We encourage parents to join the club activities, but for children who need to learn independence,
we are happy to assist in time away from their parents.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits discrimination in
all its programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs,
sexual orientation, and marital or family status. (Not all prohibited bases apply to all programs.)
